Learn basic computer mouse skills. This class is for new computer users who need mouse practice.

Basic Computer Skills      (M) November 17, 6 - 7 p.m.
This is a basic introduction to the computer for the novice. This class will review general computer tasks, to include routine machine maintenance, using the mouse, using multiple screens, saving to a disk, using files, identifying and using different computer drives. Participants must have experience using the mouse, or have taken MOUSE MANEUVERS.

Planning ahead for retirement, long-term care, trusts, wills, and Medicare/Medicaid and other issues on aging can be a daunting task. This workshop will address these topics to help you make informed decisions about your future.

Join Toledo Hospital nurse Margie Smith and learn infant massage techniques for your baby, ages three weeks to pre-crawling. Infant massage strengthens bonding, soothes and relieves a baby's discomfort, relaxes baby, promotes better sleep and contributes to a baby's physical, mental and spiritual development. Peek-A-Boo! I Love You!      (Sa) September 27, 11 a.m.
More than just a curious story, Mother Goose games like peek-a-boo help your baby understand language. In this special class, uncover more ways to say "I love you" using American Sign Language, bubbles, and parent-baby dances. Join the American Red Cross Association for a 90-minute program to learn skills necessary to care for your infant during an emergency until medical help arrives. Dr. Glenn Boatman will provide a look at burial practices, dates of use, types of ceramic ware, stone tools and projectile points, and biological findings. Artifacts will be available for viewing.

Knitting for Beginners      (T) October 7 - October 21, 7 - 8 p.m.
Learn the basics of knitting in this three-part class: choosing yarn, reading patterns, casting on, knitting stitches, gauges, increasing, decreasing and casting off. Test swatches will be made, with a take-home project begun. 'Homework' will be given and discussed the following week. No prior knitting experience required; this is a beginning class. Bring yarn, straight needles and a smile! Class size limited to eight and registration required.

Taylor Site: A Recent Late Woodland Archaeological Excavation in Northern Ohio      (W) October 22, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
Join Glenn Boatman, Research Assistant, Western Lake Erie Archaeological Program, University of Toledo, student of anthroplogy and amateur archaeologist, in a night of local excavation. His presentation focuses on the Taylor Mortuary Center site on the Huron River in North Central Ohio. It provides a look at burial practices, dates of use, types of ceramic ware, stone tools and projectile points, and biological findings. Artifacts will be available for viewing.
