American History Matchup      November 23 - November 28, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.      Grades 5-12
How well do you pay attention in history class? Test your knowledge with our quiz. Show us you're a history buff and earn a prize!

RuneScape      (M) November 23, 6 - 7 p.m.      Grades 6 - 12
Join us in the Heatherdowns Computer Lab for an hour of uninterrupted RuneScape action. One lucky participant will get to play on our big screen. Open to the first 10 participants.

What Are You Most Thankful For Contest      November 17 - November 24, Library Hours      Grades 6-12
Stop in during regular library hours for your chance to win a holiday basket. All you have to do is complete a short entry form titled 'What are You Most Thankful For?' One winner will be chosen from all completed entries on or before Tuesday, November 24, just in time for Thanksgiving. Winner will be notified by phone. One entry per person please.

Kent’s Kings and Queens Book Discussion      (T) December 1, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.      Grades 6-12
Join us for our monthly teen book discussion. We will be reading an exciting short story just for teens. After reading and discussing the story, light refreshments will be served. See you there!

Holiday Movie Matinee      (Sa) December 19, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.      Grades 6-12
Join us as we prepare for the holidays with a holiday movie. Popcorn and pop provided; however you can bring your own snack if you like. Movie is rated PG and runs approximately 90 minutes.

If you are a movie connoisseur, then this is the contest for you. Match the quotes to the correct titles and win a treat!

I Can Name That Tune Contest      December 3 - December 23      Grades K-12
This musical trivia contest will test how well you know the lyrics to Christmas and holiday songs. Join in the holiday festivities by participating in this contest and winning a special holiday treat.

In 1903 the Wright Brothers achieved the first successful flight of an airplane. Celebrate the anniversary of their flight by making an origami airplane. Free paper and instructions will be available at the Information Desk all week.

Toledo Heights Branch
Movie Matinee - Bridge to Terabithia      (F) November 27, 2:00 - 3:45 p.m.      Grades 5-12
An 11-year-old boy has his life changed forever when he befriends the class outsider. Together they create the world of Terabithia, an imaginary kingdom filled with giants, trolls and other magical beings. Based on the book by Katherine Paterson. Rated PG for thematic elements including bullying, some peril and mild language. 96 minutes. Refreshments provided.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland      (T) December 1, 7 - 8 p.m.
The whole family is invited to make a holiday craft at the library. Afterwards, walk with us to the Highland Park Shelter House for cookies, cocoa and caroling! This event is co-sponsored by the City of Toledo, Parks and Recreation Dept. and the Toledo Heights Friends of the Library.

Post - Holiday Open House      (W) December 30, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
All ages are welcome to enjoy holiday cookies, play board games, and enter our Toledo Heights Friends of the Library book raffle.
