2011 marks the beginning of the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War. The Toledo – Lucas County Public Library collection contains a wealth of material related to the War. From general histories and biographies to atlases, official documents, genealogical sources, music and films, the Library has something for a wide range of ages and levels of interest.

The organization that sponsors this Web site is devoted to preserving Civil War battlefields, especially those threatened by development. The Web site contains articles and maps for numerous Civil War battles.

Greater Toledo Civil War Roundtable
The Greater Toledo Civil War Roundtable's main purpose is to provide a forum where anyone with an interest in the American Civil War, regardless of his or her level of expertise, can gather together to study, discuss and learn about the various facets of this period of American history -- from the battlefield to the homefront and everything in between. This is accomplished through Monthly Meetings and Luncheon Programs

14th Ohio Volunteer Infantry
The 14th OVI/3rd Arkansas is a non-profit corporation dedicated to remembering the Civil War through Living History and preservation. Our unit is based in the northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan area.

5th United States Colored Troops Company
The Fifth United States Colored Troop’s  Company  G of Ohio is an African American re-enactment unit of the American Civil War (1863-1865 ). We are dedicated to educating the public and preserving the memories of those African American who served the Union from the great State of Ohio.
